Out on the Town: Winter Brew Fest
Denver sure does love its beer! With the variety of breweries in the metro area, it allows for a lot of healthy competition.
Welcome to Winter Brew Fest! Over 30 breweries representing their best selections of over 100 beers in the beautiful Mile High Station. Two floors and an outdoor tent full of beers, ciders, and even kombucha! The venue was the perfect setting for a night full of glam people. Guests were entertained by the amazing Larry Nix (He had a beautiful voice!), and able to snap their Instagram pics in the photo booth!
Onto the beer! They have everything you needed: pale ales, cream ales, red ales, lagers, stouts, saisons, IPAs, double IPAs, ciders, YOU NAME IT!!! Everyone brought their A-game with delivering unique blends and creative names. Hipster IPA, come on!
Here were some of my favorites:
- Tangerine Cream Ale by Station Twenty Six: My mom ordered this at a local restaurant when she was in town for the holidays, and I couldn't stop stealing sips of it!!!
- Gingerbread Man by Bruz Beers: It truly tastes like a gingerbread man!
- Pear by Wild CIder: Unlike other pear ciders I've had, this one was smooth and didn't have a bitter aftertaste
- Blood Orange Pale Ale by Zephyr Brewing Co: So unique!
With some much beer, people needed to eat. Shoot out to Quinzos for delivering warm cookies! Outside were a few local food trucks and I grabbed a few tasty slices of pizza from Basic Kneads Pizza (cute name!).
What a blast!!! If you're reading this today, there's still time to grab tickets for tonight's second day tasting! Grab your tickets here! If you're busy this weekend, Summer Brew Fest will be back in the warmer months!
