Out on The Town: Chalk Art Festival/People’s Fair
What a busy, beautiful, sunny Denver weekend! Several festivals, corgi run, baseball…time to make the most of spring in the city! First up, the Denver Chalk Art Festival at Larimer Square. Over 200 local artists made extraordinary works ALL IN CHALK. I can barely draw a cube. Check out some of the work!
Also, local high schoolers were present and displayed their works. Excellent job!
Less than a mile away was the People’s Fair at Civic Park. The 45th annual People’s Fair is Denver’s oldest neighborhood festival. There were a ton of vendors and community organizations present, as well as several stages featuring various musical performances. Valuing inclusivity at this fair, there were several cultural groups represented at the fair in terms of performances or booths. There were also a lot of fun activities for the kiddos.
On Saturday, I toured around, signed up for monthly donations to the Human Rights Campaign, and then FINALLY printed my name on a Coke on their Share a Coke machine. YES!!!!!!! #UniqueSpellingProblems
On Sunday, I watched the Dazzling Divas show on the main stage. Their high octane performances delivered both choreography and lip-synced vocals, attracted a bigger and bigger crowd with each performance. Way to kick off Pride Month ladies!!!
What a nice spring Denver weekend! Family-friendly fun with something for everyone. I can’t wait until summer hits!
