24 Legacy: S1 E6
One high octane episode. The plot sound be full speed from here!
Eric/CTU: Eric is mourning Ben’s death with a single Denzel Glory tear. Locke is talking recklessly to Eric, but Eric put him in his place quick. CTU launching an operation to track Ben Khalid’s folks, but Locke is still being salty— “You’re not a CTU agent”—boy, stop. Later, the media leaks information about Gabriel’s shooting. Who leaked the information to the press? It led Jadalla and his people to be on alert. Minutes later, CTU approaches the compound of Jadalla/Ben Khalid’s people, bust through the doors, and…they’re gone. Eric is angry. However, they are able to get some of the intel they need to find the bombers. CTU is tracking down Amira as a truck bomber. They call the (nervous) George Washington bridge security guard to take her down if he sees her. He runs through the traffic, finds the truck, looks at Amira…and shoots her!!!
All done. Well, no…the security guard goes to see if she’s dead and find the trigger to the detonator. He finds it, but Amira’s not dead and she sets it off. Dang.
Jadalla calls Eric to let him know he has Eric's wife and brother. He needs help with the broken flash drive and Eric says he can’t help. Well, Jadalla says ‘you betta.” Beep beep…
Nicole/Aisha/Isaac: Eric calls Nicole to ask about her whereabouts. Nicole says she’s staying—this ain’t good. Will we have a Season 2 Nicole? Eric doesn’t know if she’ll make it to Season 2 either, so he tells her he’s sending CTU to pick her up. Isaac tells Nicole that she’s safe with him. They share an intimate glance and she’s headed out.
Isaac and Nicole exchange their final goodbyes, walk outside, and then armed men (Ben Khalid’s people) begin shooting up the neighborhood and pick up Nicole! They also take Isaac too, but he’s pretty banged up. This plot isn’t a huge surprise, but still a good action scene.
John: John is sitting across the interrogation table from his father, asking him to tell the truth about his involvement in the Army Ranger leak. Daddy ain’t budging. Later, John offers Nilaa an apology and she quickly forgives him because he turned in his own father. John decides to withdraw from his political campaign.
Amira: Their father is still tied in the basement. He’s giving Amira a guilt trip about betraying her family and religion, but she keeps him in that basement. Khasan and Amira’s teacher-boyfriend are preparing chemicals for the attacks. Amira is having her doubts. Later, Amira’s man pulls a gun on Khasan to protect his woman…as he’s frightened, he shoots Khasan, then…Amira stabs her man with a screwdriver!!! As Khasan is dying, he requests that Amira drive the truck and continue the mission in order to make her a martyr. This girl’s body count is one of the highest of the season. Later, she says goodbye to her Daddy, while keeping him tied up. However, Daddy is able to get himself untied and finds his dead son…and all the attack plans. Dad calls Amira to request that she have a change of heart to no avail.
Highlights: I liked the shoot out between Isaac and Jadalla's people. We haven't had too many actions scenes in this iteration of 24. Also, why is Amira and everyone she's involved with always half-dead? My body isn't that strong...
