This is Us: S1 E10 The Big Day
I saw a ton of people raving about This Is Us. It didn’t seem like a show for me (I’m not about that teary TV life), but I gave it a try and binge watched during the holidays. OMG! I love this show. I'm hooked. It is incredibly well-written and unlike other shows with flash forwards and backwards, it's cohesive. So now I’m going to do a weekly recap, similar to my HTGAWM series in highlighting the individual character storylines. Yes, it will be spoiler-y since it is a recap.
Overall: I loved seeing more of Jack and Rebecca during the pregnancy. The original Big 3 loves some Stevie! Jack got that house together pretty quickly
Jack: Jack is the sweetest. That’s all I got.
Rebecca: Girl, you forgot sweet Jack’s birthday?!?! You made up for it by your sweet message to the Big 3.
Miguel: Wishing happy birthdays? Taking Jack golfing? Nah, bruh. Fall back.
Dr. K: *tears* He still has breakfast with his wife and speaks to her. In such a sad day, he pulled it together for the delivery.
Firefighter: I’m glad we got to see more of him. The writers are amazing with this timeline and keeping characters included.
Quote of the week: Rebecca: “He’s going to leave me for some hot dental hygienist who doesn’t forget his birthday.” Jack would never!
Predictions: I doubt the firefighter is missing from Randall’s life. We’ll see him again in the future. I know this is morbid and twisty, but what if the third baby didn’t die? I know, awful—but this show has me throwing crazy theories out there.
See you next week!
