Combat Dry Skin
Denver weather is dry. Dry. DRY. Having come from humid environments, this has been a new battle for me. Luckily, I was quick to respond and found some great, affordable products that are getting me through this winter.
Up your water intake! Staying hydrated is great for your body and skin all around, but during the dry winter it’s even more important. Have difficulty drinking water? Add fruit or grab some cases of LaCroix. I’m in love with the Berry flavor and you will always catch a can in my bag. You can regularly catch a 3 cases for $9 sale at your local grocery store or Target.
Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser ($4.99)
I was introduced to this cream by YouTube beauty Missy Lynn in one of her videos back in November (see it here). I originally bought it as a makeup remover—it removes EVERYTHING—but when I noticed my face getting dry (which never happens because I have extremely oily skin), this cream added back the much-needed moisture. I use it every night before bed and wake up to supple skin. Yup, I woke up like this!
Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturizer ($4.99)
Need something for all over moisture? This product is a miracle worker! After exfoliating in the shower, I rub on this product, rinse, and I’m good to go. That simple and the effects last all day.
Esos Everyday Hand Lotion ($2.29)
We have to (yes, I'm looking at you who doesn't) wash our hands during the winter to avoid winter bugs. But many antibacterial soaps are harsh on your hands. I always come out of the ladies’ room with ashy hands. Well, I’ve popped this Esos hand lotion into my work bag and purses to alleviate that problem. Small, cute, and creamy—it gets the job done!
Lush Butter Bear ($2.98)
Butter Bear looks so cute and sweet, but his death in my bathtub results in my skin being buttery smooth. Made with cocoa butter and cocoa powder, this bath bomb has me feeling as smooth as silk when I leave the tub.
