Roll On: December 30, 2016
First and foremost, rest in peace, George Michael. A trailblazer in the music industry who shook by stomping society's definition of masculinity and embracing gender fluidity.
Rest in peace, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. We lost two strong, feminist media icons. May their legacies live on forever. Our hearts are with Billie Lourd (aka Chanel #3 for those who also watch Scream Queens like me).
Are you remaining present while spending moments with your family? While traveling? This article discusses how people are busy trying to capture the "perfect" picture or busy bragging on social media rather than enjoying their time (see our prior post on humility).
Today has some great ideas on how to shop your closet for your New Year’s Eve look! You don’t have to spend a lot to look fabulous. I only spent $30 on this year’s outfit! Stay tuned to our IG page for my sparkly look.
Congratulations to Youtube beauty phenom Jackie Aina on reaching over 1 million followers! She has been a long-time favorite of ours. So glad to see a woman of color doing big things without having to cater to the "norm." For a couple of (or in my case, many) laughs, check out her beauty trends that need to end in 2017 video here.
Need to get organized for the new year? I bought this great Get to Work Book which is a pre-filled calendar loaded with lots of space to create to-do lists and fill-in your busy schedules. I also love the motivational quotes for each month!
Anyone else hoping for a Rousey comeback tonight? I wish her the best.
Have a great final weekend of 2016!!!
