Out On The Town: Clicquot In The Snow
Champagne. Hotel rooftop. Music. I’m in!
The Denver Four Seasons hotel hosted the annual Clicquot In The Snow: Après in the City party. Held during Denver’s snowiest, coldest month of the year. There was just one problem with this year’s party. No snow!!! It was a beautiful, sunny, gorgeous 72-degree day. Ain’t nothing wrong with that to me!!!
I walked up to the Four Seasons hotel and was greeted by two friendly ladies, decked out in their Clicquot coats and vests—adequately prepared for a snow party. On the pool level floor, it was Clicquot everything—from balloons to flutes to orange champagne buckets. I strolled to the bar where they were serving two types of Veuve Clicquot champagne—their Veuve yellow label and their Veuve rosé. For those not interested in champagne (Why are you here?!?!?!), those guests drank Belvedere vodka drinks. I had two flutes (well, one orange Clicquot flute and one traditional champagne flute) of the yellow label. Best champagne I’ve ever had!!! To be fair, most champagnes I’ve tried have been very brute, dry, and overly acidic. However, the Veuve was none of that.
As guests sipped on champagne, the beautiful people socialized and danced the evening away around the pool. The DJ played everything from pop hits to hip-hop to our beloved 90s tunes. What does that mean?!?!! Oh, that means Macarena! Hi-5 DJ.
Overall, there was beautiful and friendly people, good music, and champagne. Worth attending next year…and maybe we’ll have some snow.
