Foodie Files: Citron Bistro
Denver Restaurant Week 2017 is here! Last week I went through the list of 200+ restaurants and menus and made a list of restaurants to visit based on various menus, locations, and price points (this year there are $25, $35, and $45 restaurant options). As a new Denverite, this is a great time to visit new restaurants.
First on my list was a restaurant near my area, Citron Bistro. Located off of E. Hampden on S. Yosemite St., it is super convenient for DTC-ers like me. Their Restaurant Week menu is a good one—in that it offers a 3-course meal with several appetizer and entrée options (other restaurants give you just two options for each category) for just $25.
For the first course, I selected the Greek Salad. It was a simple Greek salad, but had great quality feta.
Second course—lamb chops! The lamb chops were charbroiled and incredibly tender, melting in your mouth. The chops were paired with asparagus and potatoes. The menu stated roasted potatoes, but they were fried potatoes florets.
Now I’m full, but will sacrifice myself for you all. For dessert, I had a unique Crème Brule Napoleon. Crème Brule (one of my favorite desserts) was placed in between layers of sweet phyllo pastry with a raspberry sauce. So yummy!
Overall, I enjoyed Citron Bistro. This was a great introduction to a local restaurant. I love Greek food, so I would love to come back and try more of their menu items. For $25, I would highly recommend you check them out for Restaurant Week!
