Cool Down Sunday: Self-Care
Self-care during difficult times is critical. Stress can take a toll on people emotionally, mentally, socially, and even physically. Taking care of others but not checking on yourself can get overwhelming.
Take a break. What types of things make you happy? When is the last time you engaged in those activities?
Write. Sing. Take a bubble bath. Dance. Lay in the sun. Laugh. Eat (but don't overindulge). Read. Yoga. Cook. Unplug. Get a massage. Go to the park. Exercise. Drink water and tea. Surround yourself with supportive people. Mindfulness. Cuddle with your dog (hey, Jax!) or cat. Ride a bike. Pray. Netflix. Chill (see what I did there...). Walk. Run. Hug. Breathe.
