It’s rare that I try a restaurant twice in one week. My colleagues had a happy hour at Esters, but with post-election talk and other chit-chatting, I wasn’t an attentive foodie. We noshed on nachos, a couple pizzas, and I had an interesting New Belgium Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough beer—the after taste was like a chocolate chip cookie!

Today, I headed back to re-try one of the pizzas I had a slice of earlier in the week. Esters is a cute pub located off of S. Holly and Evans. I love patio seating and they had a nice patio available for groups. Their lunch menu had affordable salad and pizza/salad combo options. I selected a salad with their citrus vinaigrette dressing and their Lawn Boy pizza. The Lawn Boy is made with a white sauce and topped with Brussel sprouts (my fav!), caramelized onions, bacon, and goat cheese. Talk about favorite things!

The pizza had this amazing creamy texture that went well with the Brussel sprouts. I typically like red sauce pizzas but didn't miss it with the goat cheese. Overall, a great, unique lunch. I also took a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake home as well. Esters will likely be one of my after work happy hour spots. Or it seems like a great place to watch football. Additionally, if you’re a beer drinker, this seems like a place to check out with a good selection on tap—with great happy hour specials!
