Foodie Files: Denver Central Market

Foodie Files: Denver Central Market

As a foodie and being new to the city, I’ve been looking for new areas and placed to explore. September 25, the Denver Central Market opened its doors, featuring 11 different food vendors in the RiNo area. When I entered, I was instantly overwhelmed and over-stimulated by all the food options.

I decided I would stick with breakfast, so I went back to Izzio Artisan Bakery and ordered their salmon sandwich (which I saw on display while wandering around). Izzio had an incredible bakery and you can’t stand in line without ordering a few things, so I also ordered a blueberry muffin for breakfast the next day (which was delicious!). I wanted to upgrade my breakfast to Sunday Brunch status, so I wandered to Curio and ordered a regular Bloody Mary. Their Bloody Mary had the degree of spice (i.e., hot) that I love.

I had to step away from Culture Meat & Cheese because I would have bought everything (but I’ll be back! Their boards looked delicious). I did purchase a medium-size pasta salad from Vero Italian to take to work for lunch for the week. The fresh basil and mozzarella was very refreshing! I made one last stop before leaving and I bought a few chocolates from Temper Chocolates—two with sea salt and pepper and two mint. They were aaaaamazing!!

Denver Central Market is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily (2669 Larimer St.). Browse their site and pay them a visit soon!
